Streetchat, formerly known as Gaggle and published by Cinemagram Inc., is a free anonymous message board application that creates a feed of short messages and photographs from nearby users. Users can upvote and downvote content anonymously, and chat privately. Streetchat is generating press attention owing to concerns about the app being used as a vector for bullying.


Blocking Streetchat

In order to prevent Streetchat from functioning on your network, it will be necessary to add the following domain to your blacklists:


As of Cipafilter version 8.4 and above, is already included in the "Chat" blacklist.

Please note that this will only prevent access when the user device is connected to the organization network. There is no way to prevent use of the app over a mobile carrier's network.
