Posted by Dustin Hoeppner, Last modified by Jim Giseburt on 21 July 2017 03:48 PM

In order to set up and connect to your network on a Mac, please follow these instructions:

1. Navigate to System Preferences

2. From there, click on the network icon.

3. From the Network Preferences window, click the (+) icon in the bottom left.

4. Select "VPN" for the 'Interface' and "PPTP" for the 'VPN Type'. You can optionally change the 'Service Name' here.

5. Enter the public IP address or the domain of the Network you are connecting to in the 'Server Address' field. Then enter the username of the account you are logging into in the 'Account Name' field. Then click 'Authentication Settings.'

6. Enter the password to the VPN account in the 'Password' field, then click OK.

7. Click 'Apply' at the bottom right of the window, and then click 'Connect'. Once you've connected, the status will show 'Connected' and you should see your internal IP address and the 'Sent/Received' bars on the right.
