Some customers have reported lengthy network latency experienced with newly-shipped Windows 7 PCs that are filtered through the CIPAFilter.

If these computers are running a TrendMicro product, the issues might derive from an incompatibility with the Worry-Free Business Security Agent (or perhaps any TrendMicro product utilizing the NDIS 6 Filter Driver).

TrendMicro has provided a removal tool at http://esupport.trendmicro.com/solution/en-US/1057237.aspx that can be used to remove the driver and clean up the registry to restore CIPAFilter compatibility. The process takes approximately 30 seconds to run and the PC must be rebooted.
