Introducing Cipafilter 11.4

Introducing Cipafilter 11.4

January 15, 2020

We are excited to introduce another great version of Cipafilter! Our teams have worked hard to bring you the best in firewall, web filtering, and reporting technology.

Firewall Improvements

Cipafilter already has an incredibly easy to use interface, which allows anybody to take control of their network. Now, with 11.4, Cipafilter is making it even easier. With Network Objects, Per-Interface Firewall Rules, and Firewall Rule Logging, you can now group together IP addresses, isolate traffic from specific interfaces, and log hits to specific rules without cluttering the reports with unnecessary data.

Support for Blocking DNS-over-HTTPS

DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) has been all the buzz, as modern browsers are now circumventing DNS based logging and filtering systems. While DoH doesn’t impact Cipafilter’s ability to provide great protection, we do recognize it may impact other technology in your environment, so we are providing a way for our customers to block it.

Decryption Error Reports

New reports detailing error events can help you find problems in your network faster than ever. Is the website down or is the application broken? Cipafilter’s new Errors Report helps you spot the problem quickly and implement HTTPS Decryption without headaches.

Reporting Improvements

Your time is valuable. In addition to the above features, Cipafilter has made a number of performance improvements to reporting speed. We also added some new tools to help you better understand data without having to track down users. You are now able to view OS and User-Agent details as a part of Web reports.

New Hardware

Is it time to upgrade your hardware? The latest firmware adds support for Cipafilter’s most recent hardware offerings. We’ve updated all of our hardware lines so you can get the most out of your Cipafilter.

Due to the high volume of requests, we are rolling out firmware upgrades in waves to ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible. Contact Cipafilter Support today to request a firmware upgrade date and take advantage of these new features.
